“Selamat datang!”The 6th SEAGMA Scientific Meeting 2025 will be held in Ipoh, Malaysia. The city of Ipoh, capital of the state of Perak, is listed down in “Lonely Planet” as one of the Top Six must visit city in the world. In fact the state of Perak, is also listed down as one of the six must visit region of the world for 2017.

Ipoh has the charisma of the old world with its baroque railway station, the allure of the rich Sultanate dynasty, the charm of the “Kapitan Cina” and old tin mines , the huge Buddhist limestones caves, mixed in with the facilities and attractions of the modern world. A tourist haven famous for its friendly people and beautiful ladies, astounding aroma of the traditional “white coffee” and fabulously delicious food best experienced at the hustle bustle of the night markets.

The 6th SEAGMA Scientific Meeting also marks the first SEAGMA conference incorporating the Australasian Neuro-gastroenterology Motility Masterclass which brings excellent speakers from Australia. We have also invited experts from other parts of Asia including China, Singapore, India, Thailand and Vietnam. Apart from the latest updates on Disorders of Gut-Brain Interactions, emphasis will also be placed on complementary medicine and, most importantly, to update on the South East Asian Probiotics Consensus and review new treatment options in constipation. We have also recruited a panel of international advisors who will work together with our Scientific Committee to ensure that the scientific content of the Meeting will be of the highest quality.

All the scientific sessions will be vibrant and dynamic as our esteemed and very knowledgeable invited faculty will keep us abreast with the latest in functional gastrointestinal diseases guidelines and new therapeutic approaches.

With so many scientific experts and key opinion leaders congregating in one place, there is a tremendous opportunity for the exchange of ideas and to learn from one another.
